Lauren Lund
Speech-Language Pathology
Lauren is currently a speech-language pathology master student at Utah State University. She initially discovered her affinity for the world of disability disciplines while spending time with a friend's autistic sibling, which led to many voluntary positions as support for those with disabilities in various school and church settings growing up. Lauren has worked as a registered behavior technician (RBT), support staff in group homes, and a speech technician at a residential facility for people with disabilities. She is particularly interested in alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices. Lauren hopes to continue to champion the inherent right and need for communication using any modality.
In whatever free time Lauren finds outside of her grad program, you can find her listening to music, in a thrift store, running, at a theater performance, playing piano, reading, at a concert, or involved in a discussion about any of these things. She has a playlist for almost any occasion and regularly updates her Goodreads account. Lauren particularly enjoys movies involving absurd and/or slapstick comedy, and is unlikely to give up a chance to experience music live.
