Joan Liquin is based out of Utah State University and establishes trainees into the program, manages the federal database, and assists with the grant. With a degree in Sociology and Anthropology, she has had a lengthy career in interdisciplinary work in criminal justice through crime victim advocacy, crisis response, as a police gang task force coordinator, and executive director of a child advocacy center.
Joan grew up in Louisiana and Montana and raised three boys. She and her husband have a cabin in a tiny mountain town in western New Mexico, blink and you'll miss it! In her spare time, you will find her reading, traveling, hiking, and finding off-the-beaten-paths to explore.
