Joan Liquin, B.S.
URLEND Coordinator, Utah State University
Joan Liquin is based out of Utah State University. She works in establishing trainees into the program, managing the federal database, and assisting with grant reporting. With a degree in Sociology and Anthropology, she has had a lengthy career in interdisciplinary work in criminal justice through crime victim advocacy, crisis response, a police gang task force coordinator, and executive director of a child advocacy center. She has family members with a disability and appreciates the values that URLEND is promoting.
Joan grew up in Louisiana and Montana and she and her husband raised three boys. They have a cabin in a tiny mountain town in New Mexico that they explore from every year. In her spare time, you will find her reading, traveling, hiking, finding great food in hole in the walls, chasing sunsets in off-the-beaten-paths.
