Haley Permar
Speech Language Pathology
Haley Permar is an ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist who works as a Special Projects Manager for MonTECH at the Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities. She joined the Rural Institute team in 2022 following 3 years working as a Speech Language Pathologist in rural schools with the preschool through high school population. Haley graduated from the University of Montana with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019. She has completed extensive interdisciplinary training through the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) scholars’ program and Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disability (UR-LEND) program, including an Autism Enhanced Year focusing on best practices for interdisciplinary assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder.
Haley strongly believes interprofessional training and practice improve systems of care for children and their families. The cornerstone of her knowledge comes from clinical training as a school-based speech language pathologist, work as a Registered Behavior Technician delivering in-home behavioral services, and an understanding of systems of care for children with special healthcare needs acquired through research and training experiences.
