Danielle Friberg, MOT, OTD

Danielle Friberg is a licensed occupational therapist and Assistant Professor (lecturer) in the Department of Occupational and Recreational Therapies. She graduated from the University of Utah with her Master's in Occupational Therapy in 2011 and her Post-Professional Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2017.  Danielle's clinical work has focused on early intervention, outpatient pediatric, and developmental assessment settings. She began her teaching career as a lab assistant at the University of Utah in 2014 and has been in academia full-time since 2018, holding faculty appointments in occupational therapy programs at West Coast University, Keck Graduate Institute, and the University of Utah. Her teaching currently focuses on assessment and treatment of the pediatric population and community-based program development. Danielle's scholarly interests include the value of doctoral capstone projects, best practices in mentoring doctoral capstones, the role of occupational therapy in women's health, and the use of lifestyle medicine in pediatric occupational therapy practice. 

She is a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and Utah Occupational Therapy Association.
