Valerie Player, Ed.S.

IPA Program - IESDB Family Member

Valerie is a long-time educator with twenty-plus years of experience in the preK-12 education system including special education (with emphasis on students identified as severely emotionally/behaviorally disturbed and those on the autism spectrum) family literacy and family involvement; early childhood education; elementary and secondary classroom instruction; and school administration.

Valerie holds a BA from Boise State University and her M.Ed. and Ed.S. from the University of Idaho. Valerie currently serves as the Program Coordinator of Idaho Hands & Voices; a non-profit, parent driven organization dedicated to supporting families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Valerie lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, son, and their therapy dog. When she’s not busy advocating for someone, Valerie enjoys reading, writing, and learning American Sign Language.
