Joan Liquin, B.S.

URLEND Coordinator, Utah State University

Joan Liquin is based out of Utah State University. She works behind the scenes with the grant, establishing trainees into the program, and managing the federal database. With a degree in Sociology and Anthropology, she has worked extensively in interdisciplinary work in criminal justice with crime victim advocacy, crisis response, as a gang task force coordinator, and as executive director of a child advocacy center.


Joan grew up in Louisiana and Montana. She and her husband have a cabin in a tiny mountain town in New Mexico. She loves to read, travel, hike, find great food, and especially enjoys getting off-the-beaten-path.
