Preparation of “behind the scenes” at a clinic (1.5 hours)
Overview of expectations of visits to a clinic administrator. The purpose of these visits is to understand the nuances of administering a clinic and leadership skills involved. Trainees receive a menu of clinics they can visit / given talking points.

A discussion of the proposed etiologies of ASDs, including review of available research on proposed etiologies.  Topics to be discussed include:  genetics, vaccines, and environmental causes.

Legislative issues

Discussion of legislation as it relates to individuals with disabilities. Trainees will learn about the legislative process and how they, as leaders, can help facilitate systems change. Trainees will apply skills via critiquing legislation.
